Nemises and Mari

Nemises with her best friend, Mari the Banette!
They've been together since Mari was a Shuppet and Nem, almost two years old.

Mari is shorter than regular Bantte, and was always on that small side, making her a bit of an outcast ever since she was a Shuppet.
Mari always preferred eating other foods like Berries and the like compared to the Shuppet's usual diet of vengeful emotions. She also couldn't scare anything, which is pretty much required to be a Ghost-type. As a result of this failure, she had a lack in confidence.

Mari and the hoard of Shuppet and Banette she lived with lived in the forest near N and Touko's house. Wild Pokémon often visited the house, adding to the plethora of Pokémon on the premises. Little Mari the Shuppet snuck into the house and wandered into Nemy's nursery. Thinking a baby would be an easy target to scare, Mari attempted to do so, without success. Fortunately for a discouraged Mari, Nemises took a shine to her.
The two then spent every day together, playing outside, feasting on chocolate and pudding, or napping together.

Mari evolved into Banette when Nemises was thirteen, and eventually is able to Mega Evolve after Nemises visits Kalos with her boyfriend and obtains a Key Stone.
