Panic

"Nemy?! Nemy!" N ran frantically throughout the room, desperately calling his little girl's name.
"Nemy where are you!?"

"Nemises!!"
Panic surged through N's veins. He couldn't find her anywhere. They had just been playing hide and seek, where could she have gone!?

Touko poked her head through the front door.
"Good lord, N, what's the matter? I can hear you yelling from outside!"
"T-Touko, I can't find Nemises anywhere!" N wailed.
Touko raised an eyebrow.
"What...what do you mean?"

"W-We were just playing hide and seek, and now she's disappeared! I searched EVERYWHERE, she's nowhere!"
Touko gazed past her terrified husband to lock eyes with Zoroark, who was snoozing in the sunlight.
"Zoroark, did you see Nemises leave the house?"

"Nnnnnnnope," came the Zoroark's immediate reply.
Tears wobbled on the edges of N's eyes.
"But how could you have seen her w-when you were sleeping-?!"
"N, relax. Nemy's still in the house. I didn't see her outside. She's probably still hiding."

"B-But where could she possibly be hid-"
N's words were cut off when Zoroark's fluffy ponytail wriggled violently.
N stared in shock as the beaming face of their four and-a-half year old popped out of the top.
"I win!" Nemises shouted triumphantly.

N's lower lips wobbled and he burst into tears.
"MY BABY!!" he shrieked, grabbing his little girl and wrapping her in a tight hug.
"T-Thank Arceus...!"

Touko rolled her eyes.
"My goodness N, no need to be so dramatic. She was just hiding."
"I k-know b-but I thought-" N sniffled.

"Don't cry daddy, no one likes a sore loser!" Nemises scolded, her cheeks flushed with triumph.
N stopped coddling his daughter long enough to shoot an accusing glare at his old friend.

"Zoroark!! Why didn't you tell me she was hiding in your ponytail?!"
Zoroark stared back with an indcredulous look, as if the very idea were ludicrous.
"And give away Nemy's hiding spot and let you win? No way!"
